Fishing Rules & Club Boundaries

MSBC Shootout Rules

• Shootouts begin at 12:00 AM Saturday and end at 3:00 PM Sunday, unless otherwise noted on the individual shootout flyer.

• Fish must be weighed in by 3:30 PM Sunday.

• Fish may be weighed in at any time during the shootout at Bobby J's Bait & Tackle.

• Fish must be on ice at weigh-in.

• All participants must follow Connecticut fishing laws and regulations.

• Participants are responsible for their own safety.

• MSBC Fishing Chairman decisions are final.

Club Fishing Boundaries

MSBC club waters consist of Long Island Sound from the Throgs Neck Bridge east to Fishers Island, including:

• The Race

• Valiant Rock

• Little Gull Island

• Race Rock

• Waters north of Avery Point

• ​

Exclusions

Plum Gut and Block Island Sound are excluded from MSBC club waters.

 

Connecticut Fishing Regulations

All participants are responsible for knowing and following current Connecticut marine recreational fishing regulations.

Please refer to the current Connecticut DEEP Marine Fisheries regulations for the most up-to-date fishing laws, seasons, size limits, and possession limits.
