Founded in 1968, the Milford Striped Bass Club has been bringing together anglers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts for over five decades. What began as a group of local fishermen with a shared passion for fishing Long Island Sound has grown into one of Connecticut's most respected fishing clubs.

Throughout its history, the club has promoted responsible fishing, conservation, sportsmanship, and education while fostering lasting friendships among members. Generations of anglers have shared knowledge, stories, and traditions through club meetings, tournaments, outings, and community events.

The Milford Striped Bass Club is perhaps best known for its annual Children's Trout Derby, a beloved tradition that has introduced thousands of young anglers to the sport of fishing. For more than 50 years, the derby has provided children and families with the opportunity to experience the excitement of fishing while creating lifelong memories.

In addition to youth programs, the club hosts fishing tournaments, educational programs, conservation initiatives, and social events throughout the year. These activities strengthen our fishing community while helping preserve the resources of Long Island Sound for future generations.

Today, the Milford Striped Bass Club remains committed to its founding principles of fellowship, conservation, and the enjoyment of recreational fishing. As we continue to grow, we honor the traditions established by those who came before us while welcoming new members and future generations of anglers.

Good Fishing. Great Friends. Great Times.
