In Memory of Bill Blotney

It is with great sadness I need to inform every one of the passing of one of our most valuable members. Bill Blotney passed away at his cabin in New York. The news of Bills passing was a shock to everyone and extremely sad news for all of us. Bill served the club as president for five years and also served on the board. His love of hunting and fishing was evident in his everyday life. He was a huge advocate for the Milford Children’s Trout Derby and worked tirelessly to save it from becoming a thing of the past by acquiring funding to keep it going. Bill also was a participant in many club activities recently fished in the Interclub tournament and won third place in our open sea bass tournament. Bill put a lot of effort and work into the club and will be truly missed by all. On a personal note Bill encouraged and inspired me to take the president position and was always there to advise me and mentor me to do the best job possible for the club and I truly appreciated his help. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends. We will advise everyone as to the arrangements as soon as we know them.  ~Jim
